Serendipity, Collage & Potpourri (SCP) is a non profit tax exempt community organization. SCP has collaborated with Detroit area community outreach programs, and churches along with public and charter schools for the betterment and improvement of the students’ learning environment.

Our Backpacking for Success Program is a unique program will provide backpacks and various school supplies for disadvantaged students, grades K-8. The mission of this project is to provide our students with the school supplies that they need for the start of the school year. We hope to address the needs of those Detroit schools, whose students are unable to afford basic school supplies. We strive to eliminate the interruption in education that the lack of common school supplies generally causes.

Serendipity, Collage and Potpourri hosts several annual events that act as fundraisers and donation drives for the Backpacking For Success program. The annual Detroit House Music Picnic happens each Summer on Detroit's Belle Isle Park, featuring some of Detroit's most talented DJ's providing their time and talent for this fun filled family event.

Although our goal is to collect physical Backpacks and School Supplies, we will also gladly accept monitary donations via Paypal that will go towards the purchase of supplies and funding for special events to raise money for purchasing Backpacks.
