Serendipity, Collage & Potpourri (SCP) sponsors many events, both major and minor throughout the year as direct support for the Backpacking for Success Program.

The most popular is the Annual Detroit House Music Picnic which is yearly summer event that happens on Detroit’s Belle Isle Park. The fun filled family event brings out some of Detroit’s hottest DJ’s, donating their time and talent to the cause. Admission is simply a Backpack, School Supplies, or the ability to Dance and have a Great Time!

Serendipity, Collage & Potpourri (SCP) also hosts Support Parties and Fundraisers for the cause like the Rhythm Blues and Soul Concert that featured Detroit’s Soul Diva, Ms. Thornetta Davis and a fundraiser party that featured one of the originators of Detroit Techno – Derrick May.
